Job summary

WELL Health Diagnostic Centres seeks a skilled Ultrasound Technologist to perform general ultrasound exams (MSK, abdomen, pelvic, breast, thyroid) across multiple Ontario clinics. The role supports flexible full-time/part-time opportunities with potential sign-on and relocation bonuses.

Qualifications

• CMRTO certification is required.
• Current CPR certificate is required.
• 0–2 years of related experience.
• Ability to perform all ultrasound procedures across MSK, abdomen, pelvis, breast, and thyroid.
• Vascular, MSK and OB experience is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Ensure patient identification, safety, and preparation before a scan and maintain confidentiality.
• Greet patient, position for test, and prepare them for examination.
• Observe patient during procedure and note symptoms or changes; summon medical aid if necessary.
• Perform quality control and comply with health and safety policies.
• Follow procedures for equipment maintenance and ensure instrument readiness.
• Prepare and organize reports and communicate findings to physicians as required.
• Other duties as assigned by Clinic Manager.

Reporting to: Clinic Manager

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for ensuring patient identification, safety, and preparation are correct prior to a scan while maintaining patient confidentiality.


• Greet patient, explain forthcoming test, position patient, and prepare him/her for examination.


• Observe patient during the diagnostic procedure, making note of any symptoms or changes in vital signs and summon medical aid when necessary.


• Ensure all quality control assessments are performed as required. Takes all reasonable precautions and work in compliance with related policies, health and safety legislation, and best practices.


• Follow procedures for proper equipment maintenance are completed in accordance with department standards.


• Ensure equipment and instruments are performing in an efficient and effective manner.


• Prepare and organize reports as required.


• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications, Experience & Requirements:

• 0-2 years of related experience.


• Candidates must have CMRTO certification.


• Current CPR certificate.


• Vascular, MSK & OB experience is an asset.


• Ability to perform all types of ultrasound procedures on various types of ultrasound equipment.


• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.


• Demonstrated commitment to continuing education and training.


• Demonstrate effective decision-making skills and problem-solving abilities.Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
