Job summary

Canada Diagnostic Centres seeks a certified Ultrasound Team Lead for a 12-month maternity leave coverage at our Westhills clinic in Calgary. You’ll oversee the Ultrasound team, perform exams under radiologists, and mentor technologists while driving clinic improvements.

You’ll collaborate with radiologists and clinic staff to enhance patient experience, pursue ongoing professional development in MSK, OB/GYN, breast and interventional ultrasound, and ensure privacy, safety and audits are followed.

Qualifications

• Certified Registered Generalist Sonographer (CRGS) or eligible; ACMDTT registration eligibility.
• Clinical competency as a sonographer with interest in MSK, OB/GYN, vascular, cardiac exams, or interventional procedures.
• Proven leadership experience coaching and mentoring teams.
• Training in MSK, OB/GYN, breast, vascular, or cardiac exams, or interventional procedures is an asset.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and RIS.

Responsibilities

• Perform ultrasound exams under radiologists and referring physicians, following protocols.
• Lead and mentor the ultrasound team at the Chinook clinic and support performance management.
• Explain exams and procedures, address questions, and ease patient concerns.
• Collaborate with radiologists and clinic teams to enhance patient experience.
• Pursue ongoing professional development in areas like MSK, OB/GYN, breast or interventional ultrasound.
• Drive process improvements using data and support compliance and audits.
• Oversee equipment maintenance, track performance, and troubleshoot basic issues.
