Job summary

UNI-UK is seeking an UK Education Consultant to represent the organization at UK education fairs and school visits in Canada. You will guide Canadian students through UK higher education opportunities, answer inquiries, and help select programs and universities. Prior experience in education or related roles is valued.

You will develop talks and workshops for applicants, collaborate with UK partner universities, and build relationships with Canadian schools and counselors across the country.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher; UK degree is a plus.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
  • Familiarity with UCAS and UK higher education.
  • Experience in higher education or student recruitment preferred.
  • Capacity to travel domestically.

Responsibilities

  • Provide one-to-one advising and respond to inquiries from prospective students, parents/guardians, and educators.
  • Represent Uni-UK at recruitment events across Canada, both virtual and in-person.
  • Liaise with partner UK universities to support student applications and monitor outcomes.
  • Achieve agreed applicant and enrolment targets.
  • Build and maintain relationships with UK universities, Canadian schools and stakeholders.
  • Participate in training sessions in the UK with partner universities.
  • Support business operations through timely administrative tasks.

Role Overview

As an UK Education Consultant, you will represent Uni-UK at UK education fairs, high school presentations and related events. You will act as a trusted advisor for Canadian students exploring UK higher education opportunities. You will guide them through the application process, provide expert advice, and help them select the right programs and universities. Prior experience is required; this can include internships, part-time work, or on-campus roles to demonstrate good work ethics, discipline, and professional responsibility. We are also interested to hear from individuals from a teaching or education background. You will be expected to develop and deliver impactful advisory talks, workshops, and presentations for applicants through established relationships with partner schools and school counsellors. You will also collaborate with our UK partner universities, build relationships with Canadian schools and colleges, and represent UNI-UK at events and fairs across the country. It is worth noting that the recruitment cycle for UK universities is seasonal, so there will be busy times and less busy times through-out the year.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide one-to-one advising and respond to telephone, email, virtual, and in-person inquiries from prospective students, parents/guardians, and educators, offering timely, accurate, and accessible information about UK programs, admissions requirements, portfolio preparation, and application process.
  • Represent Uni-UK at various virtual and in-person recruitment events (e.g. high school visits, presentations and panels, university/pathways fairs, portfolio reviews etc.) across Canada, providing prospective students with all necessary information about the University (e.g. admissions information, academic entrance requirements, portfolio building support, scholarship information, campus and UK life, etc.)
  • Liaise with partner UK universities to support student applications and monitor outcomes.
  • Achieve agreed applicant and enrolment targets
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with UK universities, Canadian schools, and other stakeholders
  • Participate in training sessions in the UK with partner universities (annually or bi-annually).
  • Support business operations through timely administrative tasks.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher (a UK university degree is an asset).
  • Previous experience within High School education (an asset).
  • Experience living, studying, or working in the UK (preferred).
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
  • Familiarity with UK higher education and the UCAS application process.
  • Experience in higher education or student recruitment (preferred).
  • Professional, approachable, empathetic and student-focused with excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple deadlines effectively.

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher (a UK university degree is an asset).
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
  • Familiarity with databases, with a demonstrated ability to learn in-house programs and systems; working knowledge Client Relationship Management software.
  • Experience living, studying, or working in the UK (preferred).
  • Familiarity with UK higher education and the UCAS application process.
  • Experience in higher education or student recruitment (preferred).
  • Professional, approachable, and client-focused with excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Capacity to prioritize and manage multiple deadlines effectively.Ability to travel domestically.
