Job summary

Brandt's Rocky View, AB branch is seeking a Small AG / Turf Service Technician for our Agriculture Division (John Deere). You will diagnose, repair, and service compact tractors up to 100hp, equipment, and attachments, documenting actions and times on work orders.

You will use Deere Service Advisor, order parts, and road test equipment to ensure safe operation. The role emphasizes service excellence and customer interactions in a team setting.

Qualifications

• Previous mechanical experience in Turf/Power Equipment environments is preferred.
• Must have strong customer service and communication skills.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds and work safely.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and diagnose equipment up to 100hp and repair equipment.
• Order parts and use John Deere Service Advisor to document work.
• Document machine information, actions and time on work orders.

Our Rocky View, AB, branch is looking for an exceptional individual to join our service department as a Small AG / Turf Service Technician for our Agriculture Division (John Deere).

What You Will Be Responsible For

• Efficiently and effectively evaluate the working condition of, diagnose, assemble/disassemble, order parts for, and repair compact utility tractors up to 100hp, tractor attachments, Utility vehicles, lawnmowers and other various equipment
• Use secondary materials and equipment safely and efficiently
• Use related instruments, hand and power tools, secondary equipment, and computer systems
• Accurately and completely document on work orders all machine information, actions taken, and time taken
• Continually assess service task hazards and ensure work is performed safely, and to accepted standards
• Use computer applications and information systems (i.e. John Deere Service Advisor) to document maintenance, inspection, and diagnosis
• Use parts catalogues to locate parts, and order parts from parts personnel
• Road test equipment and check attachment operation as required

What We Look For

• Previous mechanical experience in a Turf, Power Equipment or motorsport equipment environment preferred
• Certified Journeyperson Heavy Duty Equipment technician, Outdoor Power Equipment, Agricultural Equipment technician, Automotive Service Technician or equivalent designated trade preferred
• Must be committed to customer service and service excellence
• Must have the ability to communicate and work effectively with customers, the service team, and branch personnel
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
