Job summary

Brandt is seeking an Agriculture (John Deere) Resident Heavy Equipment Technician based in Lethbridge, reporting to our Claresholm, AB branch. This full-time role involves repairing and maintaining agricultural equipment in a shop setting and may include customer-site work.

The ideal candidate will have heavy equipment or agricultural equipment technician credentials, field experience, and strong problem-solving abilities; training opportunities and a comprehensive benefits package are offered.

Qualifications

• Heavy Equipment Technician or Agriculture Equipment Technician certification is an asset.
• Apprentices registered under this trade will be considered.
• Previous field tech or road tech experience is a plus.
• Basic to above-average computer skills and problem solving.
• Experience diagnosing, repairing and maintaining equipment.
• Ability to record detailed repair order notes.
• Desire to keep up with evolving equipment technology.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair and maintain all systems on agricultural equipment (tractors, hay tools, AG & turf implements).
• Repair/diagnose equipment at customer sites if needed.
• Perform preventive maintenance inspections and adjustments for in-field optimization.
• Recondition pre-owned equipment.
• Record detailed notes on work orders for customers and warranties.

Brandt is currently seeking an Agriculture (John Deere) Resident Heavy Equipment Technician based in Lethbridge, reporting to our Claresholm, AB branch. This position is responsible for the repair and maintenance of agricultural-based equipment and attachments in a shop environment.

What You Will Be Responsible For

• Diagnose, Repair & Maintain all systems on agricultural equipment such as Tractors, Hay tools, and other Ag & Turf implements. This includes, engine, transmission, electrical, hydraulic, air conditioning, guidance & precision ag systems among others.
• Repair, Service and/or diagnose agriculture equipment at the customers site IF needed
• Perform preventative maintenance inspections; including fluid and various filter changes, testing of equipment, & adjustments for infield optimization.
• Reconditioning of pre-owned equipment.
• Accurately record notes on work orders for customer and warranty records

What We Look For

• Heavy Equipment Technician or Agriculture Equipment Technician certification an asset
• We will also consider apprentices that are registered under this trade too!
• Previous field tech or road tech experience would be a plus
• Basic to above-average computer skills and a passion for problem solving
• Experience in diagnosing, repairing and maintaining equipment.
• Ability to complete detailed repair order notes on each job
• The desire to continue learning updated equipment technology as the industry continues to evolve
