Brandt Group of Companies in Saskatoon seeks a Turf Service Technician for our Agriculture Division (John Deere). The role involves diagnosing, repairing, and servicing heavy-duty equipment while maintaining thorough documentation and safety standards.

You will use John Deere Service Advisor and parts catalogs, liaising with customers and branch personnel to ensure high-quality service and timely parts replacement.

Qualifications

• Previous mechanical experience in a heavy equipment environment.
• Certified Journeyperson in the Heavy Duty Equipment technician trade or equivalent designated trade preferred.
• Must be committed to customer service and service excellence.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate machine condition, diagnose, assemble/disassemble, order parts, and repair heavy duty equipment.
• Use tools and computer systems to document maintenance and diagnosis.
• Road test equipment and verify attachment operation when required.
• Order parts from parts personnel using catalogs and systems.
• Document on work orders all machine information, actions taken, and time spent.
• Ensure work is performed safely and to accepted standards.
• Utilize John Deere Service Advisor for maintenance and inspection records.

Our Saskatoon branch is looking for an exceptional individual to join our service department as a Turf Service Technician for our Agriculture Division (John Deere).

What You Will Be Responsible For

• Efficiently and effectively evaluate the working condition of, diagnose, assemble/disassemble, order parts for, and repair heavy duty equipment
• Use secondary materials and equipment safely and efficiently
• Use related instruments, hand and power tools, secondary equipment, and computer systems
• Accurately and completely document on work orders all machine information, actions taken, and time taken
• Continually assess service task hazards and ensure work is performed safely, and to accepted standards
• Use computer applications and information systems (i.e. John Deere Service Advisor) to document maintenance, inspection, and diagnosis
• Use parts catalogues to locate parts, and order parts from parts personnel
• Road test equipment and check attachment operation as required

What We Look For

• Previous mechanical experience in a heavy equipment environment is preferred
• Certified Journeyperson in the Heavy Duty Equipment technician trade or equivalent designated trade preferred
• Must be committed to customer service and service excellence
• Must have the ability to communicate and work effectively with customers, the service team, and branch personnel
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
