Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Tunnels and Trenchless Engineer-in-Training in Toronto or Hamilton, ON. You will assist project managers and engineers in planning and design of major utilities, tunnels and underground infrastructure, contributing to alignments, profiles and cost estimates.

Join a multidisciplinary team and develop skills in design calculations, geotechnical data review, and preparing contract documents and proposals.

Responsibilities

• Developing tunnel/trenchless alignments, profiles, and typical cross-sections
• Design calculations via spreadsheets or specialized software
• Reviewing and summarizing geotechnical data
• Estimating quantities and developing construction cost estimates
• Preparing contract documents, reports, and proposals
• Communicating with the project team and presenting information
• Project scheduling and coordinating multi-disciplinary teams
