Job summary

GHD is seeking an Engineering Graduate, Tunnels, to join our team in Mississauga or Markham, ON, starting around May 2027. This in-person, hybrid position offers practical experience on tunnel, underground structure, rail and transportation projects while you learn from experienced engineers and specialists.

You will work in a collaborative, flexible environment with three days in-office, contribute to active projects, and build your professional skills within a supportive consulting setting.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in undergraduate Civil/Geotechnical/Structural eng or related discipline.
• Eligible to start full-time around May 2027.
• No prior tunnel engineering experience required.
• Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Support tunnel, shaft, station and underground structure assignments under guidance.
• Assist with engineering calculations, design checks, data review and prep of technical docs.
• Help prepare drawings, figures, tables, presentations and reports for project deliverables.
• Support basic geotechnical and structural analyses using spreadsheets and software with training.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to complete tasks within timelines.
