Position Conditions: This full-time, permanent position of 40 hours per week will be offered in accordance with conditions identified in the Collective Agreement between the City of Brandon and CUPE Local 69. This opportunity is open to all applicants; however, first consideration will be given to current City of Brandon CUPE employees. The City of Brandon reserves the right to underfill this position.
Rate of Pay: $34.92 - $36.27 per hour (2023 Rates)

This competition will include testing and an interview.
PURPOSE OF POSITION
The Truck & Transport Mechanics are responsible for diagnosing, maintaining, and repair of 300 plus units, including automobiles, emergency vehicles, public transport, public utility vehicles, light/heavy trucks, and construction equipment. Employees work under the leadership of the Fleet Maintenance Chargehand but are allowed considerable latitude for independent judgement in applying knowledge and skills to the diagnosis and repair of assigned equipment.
