Job Opportunity: Heavy Duty Truck and Trailer Mechanic

King Spud Potato Transport Ltd is seeking a skilled heavy duty truck and trailer mechanic to join our team.

Preference will be given to candidates with levels or Red Seal certification; however, industry knowledge will also be considered.

Responsibilities / Requirements:

1. Diagnose and repair daily issues with trucks and trailers.
2. Perform general fleet maintenance, including safety-related work.
3. Fix wiring problems and other mechanical issues.
4. Work effectively as part of a team and independently.
5. Be reliable, punctual, and eager to learn.
6. Conduct road calls with the service truck as needed.
7. Hold a valid Class 5 license.
8. Experience working on semi-trucks and trailers is required.
9. Having an S endorsement and a Class 1 license is an asset but not mandatory.
10. Possess general knowledge of small fleet vehicles for maintenance and repairs.

This position is Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with opportunities for overtime during harvest and breakdown situations. Some weekends may be required during busy seasons.

Location: Carberry, MB, approximately 30 minutes from Brandon and Neepawa.
