Job summary

Charger Logistics Inc. is expanding its Service Department and seeks a qualified technician for our Dorval office. You will diagnose issues using test equipment, perform preventative maintenance, and complete repairs on medium and heavy-duty trucks while upholding safety standards.

Ideal candidates hold a Truck/Coach Technician or Motive Power diploma, a valid G-class license, and demonstrate strong problem-solving, detail-orientation, and time-management skills in a fast-paced shop environment.

Qualifications

• Fresh grads from Truck & Coach Technician or Motive Power Technician programs.
• Valid G-class driver’s license with clean driving record.
• Knowledge of truck parts, equipment, and repairs.
• Knowledge of DOT/MTO rules and regulations is an asset.
• Effective problem solver with ability to identify issues and resolve them promptly.
• High attention to detail and accuracy in work.
• Excellent time management in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Receive driver and owner/operator reports and perform initial diagnosis with test drives and instruments.
• Carry out preventative maintenance inspections and repairs of medium and heavy-duty trucks; brake, steering, suspension, electrical work.
• Repair and recondition equipment and components; ensure safe operation.
• Restore equipment to service in the most cost-efficient manner.
• Follow Charger safety procedures in all tasks.

We are currently expanding and looking to add a motivated individual to our Service Department based out of our Dorval office.

Responsibilities:

• Receive driver and owner/operator reports and conduct initial inspection to diagnose problem using test drives and test instruments, such as pressure gauges, motor analyzers, and other equipment as needed
• Conduct preventative maintenance inspections and repairs, air and hydraulic brake repairs, warranty procedures, steering and suspension, electrical diagnostics, etc. all on medium and heavy duty trucks
• Clean, repair, recondition and maintain equipment and components
• Responsible for getting equipment back up and running in the most efficient and cost-effective manner available
• Perform all tasks according to Charger safety procedures

• 310T and/or 310J licenses are an asset
• Freshers graduated from Truck & coach technician course or Motive Power technician course
• Valid G-class driver’s license with clear driving record
• Knowledge of truck parts and equipment and truck repairs
• Knowledge of DOT/MTO rules and regulations is an asset
• Effective problem solver with the ability to understand issues and find solutions in a timely manner
