Job summary

Charger Logistics Inc. is seeking a dedicated service technician for our Dorval, QC team. You will diagnose issues on medium and heavy-duty trucks, perform preventative maintenance, and repair components to ensure reliable operation.

The role emphasizes safety and efficient problem-solving in a fast-paced shop environment. The ideal candidate has a valid G-class license, relevant 310T/310J assets, and hands-on experience with truck parts and diagnostics.

Qualifications

• Freshers from Truck & Coach technician course or Motive Power technician course.
• Valid G-class drivers license with a clean driving record.
• 310T and/or 310J licenses are an asset.
• Knowledge of DOT/MTO rules and regulations is an asset.
• Strong problem-solving and time-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Receive driver and owner/operator reports and diagnose problems using test drives and test instruments such as pressure gauges and motor analyzers.
• Conduct preventative maintenance inspections and repairs on medium and heavy duty trucks.
• Repair, recondition and maintain equipment and components.
• Get equipment back up and running in the most efficient and cost-effective manner available.
• Perform all tasks according to Charger safety procedures.

We are currently expanding and looking to add a motivated individual to our Service Department based out of our Dorval office.

Responsibilities{{{{:}}}}

• Receive driver and owner/operator reports and conduct initial inspection to diagnose problem using test drives and test instruments, such as pressure gauges, motor analyzers, and other equipment as needed
• Conduct preventative maintenance inspections and repairs, air and hydraulic brake repairs, warranty procedures, steering and suspension, electrical diagnostics, etc. all on medium and heavy duty trucks
• Clean, repair, recondition and maintain equipment and components
• Responsible for getting equipment back up and running in the most efficient and cost-effective manner available
• Perform all tasks according to Charger safety procedures

Requirements

• 310T and/or 310J licenses are an asset
• Freshers graduated from Truck & coach technician course or Motive Power technician course
• Valid G-class driver's license with clear driving record
• Knowledge of truck parts and equipment and truck repairs
• Knowledge of DOT/MTO rules and regulations is an asset
• Effective problem solver with the ability to understand issues and find solutions in a timely manner
• High attention to detail
• Excellent time management skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced work environment
