Job summary

Charger Logistics Inc. in Brampton is seeking an experienced technician to diagnose problems on medium and heavy duty trucks, perform inspections and repairs, and keep equipment running efficiently.

You will work in Charger’s Service Department, applying hands-on skills in diagnostics, brake repairs, electrical tests and preventative maintenance to support operations across North America.

Qualifications

  • Valid G-class driver's license with clean driving record.
  • 310T and/or 310J licenses are assets.
  • Knowledge of truck parts and equipment and truck repairs.
  • Knowledge of DOT/MTO rules and regulations is an asset.
  • Excellent time management and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Receive driver and owner/operator reports and conduct initial inspection to diagnose problem using test drives and test instruments.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance inspections and repairs on medium and heavy duty trucks.
  • Repair and recondition equipment and components and ensure reliability.
  • Get equipment back up and running in the most efficient and cost-effective manner.
  • Follow Charger safety procedures in all tasks.

Responsibilities
  • Receive driver and owner/operator reports and conduct initial inspection to diagnose problem using test drives and test instruments, such as pressure gauges, motor analyzers, and other equipment as needed
  • Conduct preventative maintenance inspections and repairs, air and hydraulic brake repairs, warranty procedures, steering and suspension, electrical diagnostics, etc. all on medium and heavy duty trucks
  • Clean, repair, recondition and maintain equipment and components
  • Responsible for getting equipment back up and running in the most efficient and cost-effective manner available
  • Perform all tasks according to Charger safety procedures
