Job summary

Inland Steel Products in Redcliff, AB is seeking a Truck Driver to join our team and ensure safe transportation of metal materials. The role requires a Class 1A license and a clean driving record, with opportunities for overtime.

You will inspect, maintain, and operate a range of equipment including tractor units and trailers, while following our safety program and quality standards. The position is full-time, with a schedule Monday to Friday, and benefits including competitive pay, benefits

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of extensive driving experience with a Class 1A license.
  • Equipment hauling experience is an asset.
  • Super B experience is an asset.
  • Holds a clean driver’s abstract.

Responsibilities

  • Truck & Trailer Inspection: Inspect truck and trailer units to identify mechanical issues or safety concerns, ensuring roadworthiness.
  • Preventative Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance to ensure optimal performance and avoid breakdowns.
  • Safety Program Participation: Actively participate in and promote the company’s safety program.
  • Truck Cab Cleanliness: Maintain a clean and organized truck cab following procedures.
  • Equipment Operation: Safely operate various company units including Tractor Units, Lugger Trucks, Flat Deck Trucks, and Dump Trailers.

We are seeking a Truck Driver to join our dynamic team and play a key role in our operations, ensuring metal materials are transported safely. As a Truck Driver, your transportation expertise will drive our success. Your commitment to quality work and reliability will make you an essential part of our team.

Schedule:

This is a Permanent, Full-Time position Monday to Friday with a start time ranging between 6:00 a.m. and 8:00 a.m., with the potential for overtime as required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Truck & Trailer Inspection:
    Inspect truck and trailer units to identify any mechanical issues or safety concerns, ensuring the vehicles are always roadworthy.
  • Preventative Maintenance:
    Perform routine preventative maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance and avoid breakdowns.
  • Safety Program Participation:
    Actively participate in and promote the company’s safety program, ensuring a safe work environment for yourself and others.
  • Truck Cab Cleanliness:
    Maintain a clean and organized truck cab at all times, following internal and external cleaning procedures.
  • Equipment Operation: Safely operate various company units, including but not limited to:
    • Tractor Units
    • Lugger Trucks
    • Flat Deck Trucks
    • Super B High Side Trailers
    • Roll-off Units
    • Dump Trailers

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 2 years of extensive driving experience utilizing a class 1A license.
  • Equipment hauling is considered an asset.
  • Super B experience is considered an asset.
  • Holds a clean driver's abstract.
