Job summary

Inland Steel Products is seeking a reliable Truck Driver to join our team in Canada. This permanent, full-time role operates Monday to Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with potential overtime.

You will drive and transport metal materials, inspect vehicles, and perform routine maintenance to ensure safety and efficiency. Ideal candidates have at least 2 years of extensive driving with a Class 1A license, experience with manual transmission, and a clean driving record.

Qualifications

  • At least 2 years of extensive driving experience with a Class 1A license.
  • Manual transmission experience.
  • Clean driver’s abstract.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect truck and trailer units for roadworthiness and safety issues.
  • Perform routine preventative maintenance on equipment.
  • Follow safety program policies to maintain a safe work environment.
  • Keep the cab clean and organized per company procedures.
  • Safely operate Tractor Units, Lugger Trucks, Flat Deck Trucks, Super B High Side Trailers, Roll-off Units, and Dump Trailers.

We are seeking a Truck Driver to join our dynamic team and play a key role in our operations, ensuring metal materials are transported safely. Schedule:

This is a Permanent, Full-Time position Monday to Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. , with the potential for overtime as required.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Truck & Trailer Inspection:
    Inspect truck and trailer units to identify any mechanical issues or safety concerns, ensuring the vehicles are always roadworthy.
  • Preventative Maintenance:
    Perform routine preventative maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance and avoid breakdowns.
  • Safety Program Participation:
    Actively participate in and promote the company’s safety program, ensuring a safe work environment for yourself and others.
  • Truck Cab Cleanliness:
    Maintain a clean and organized truck cab at all times, following internal and external cleaning procedures.
  • Equipment Operation: Safely operate various company units, including but not limited to:
    • Tractor Units
    • Lugger Trucks
    • Flat Deck Trucks
    • Super B High Side Trailers
    • Roll-off Units
    • Dump Trailers
Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 2 years of extensive driving experience utilizing a class 1A license.
  • Manual Transmission Experience.
  • Holds a clean driver's abstract.
