Job summary

ABC Recycling Ltd. in Prince George, BC, is seeking a Class 1 Truck Driver to haul scrap metal to and from various locations, including other ABC sites.

The role requires a clean driving record, experience with roll-offs, hiab or self-loading cranes, and the ability to complete daily logs and reports. This is a full-time position based at our Prince George location with a focus on safety, reliability, and efficient service for our customers.

Qualifications

• Must have valid Class 1 license with air brakes.
• 3-4 years’ of truck driving experience.
• Experience with roll-offs, body jobs and dump trucks preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs pre/post-trip inspections of the vehicle assigned to drive.
• Communicates with customers in a professional manner.
• Carries out general safety practices of a commercial driver.
• Follows guidelines for safe load securement.
• Carries out instructions from Dispatch in a timely and professional manner.

Position Overview

ABC Recycling Ltd. is seeking a Class 1 Truck Driver to operate our trucks hauling scrap metal to and from different locations to our Prince George, BC location. Occasionally, you may need to haul material to and from other ABC locations and partner companies.

The ideal candidate will have a clean driving record along with experience operating roll-off trucks, self-loading cranes such as hi-abs, and body jobs. The ability to complete daily logs and reports and carry out the instructions is also essential.

• Experience with self-loading cranes or Hiab is a definite asset.
• The ability to operate a thumb & bucket to occasionally self load off site is a definite asset.
• Prior experience in scrap metal recycling or demolition would be beneficial.
