Job summary

K-Motion in Port Colborne, Canada is seeking an experienced Truck Driver to join our on-site team. You will operate refrigerated tractor-trailers, perform pre-trip inspections, and document hours of service while ensuring safety and on-time delivery.

You will load and unload goods, communicate with dispatch, and maintain vehicle condition. AZ license, air brake endorsements, and FAST program are required or preferred.

Responsibilities

Tasks

• Plan or adjust routes based on changing conditions, using computer equipment, global positioning systems (GPS) equipment, or other navigation devices, to minimize fuel consumption and carbon emissions
• Professionalism in customer service
• Load and unload goods
• Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials
• Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment
• Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle
• Receive and relay information to central dispatch
• Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption
