Job summary

Kibbi Technologies Inc. in Brampton, ON is seeking a qualified truck driver to handle long-haul routes and cross-border shipments. You will plan routes, monitor conditions, perform pre-trip inspections, and ensure cargo safety and on-time delivery.

The position requires an AZ class license with Air Brake endorsement, TDG and WHMIS certificates, and a valid Class 1/A license. Work is on-site with travel as needed and a commitment to professional customer service.

Qualifications

• AZ class license is required.
• Air Brake (Z) Endorsement is required.

Responsibilities

• Plan or adjust routes based on changing conditions, using computer equipment, GPS, or other navigation devices, to minimize fuel consumption and carbon emissions
• Professionalism in customer service
• Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment
• Perform brake adjustments
• Perform emergency roadside repairs
• Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle
• Perform preventive maintenance
• Receive and relay information to central dispatch
• Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption
• Tarping and ensuring safety and security of cargo
• Transport and handle dangerous goods
