Job summary

Kibbi Technologies Inc. in Abbotsford, BC, is seeking a professional truck driver to join our on-site team. You will operate and drive various trucks, follow safety procedures, and cooperate with a two-person convoy when required.

The role requires 1 year to less than 2 years of experience, a Class 1 or A license, and a high school graduation. You will load/unload goods, perform pre-trip inspections, and communicate with dispatch to ensure timely delivery.

Qualifications

• 1 year to less than 2 years of experience.
• Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
• Valid Driver's License (Class 1 or A) required.

Responsibilities

• Plan or adjust routes based on changing conditions using GPS and other navigation devices to minimize fuel consumption and emissions.
• Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy when required.
• Load and unload goods.
• Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials.
• Oversee vehicle condition, inspect tires, lights, brakes, and other equipment.
• Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspections and oversee all aspects of the vehicle
• Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption.

RESPONSIBILITIES

TASKS

• Plan or adjust routes based on changing conditions, using computer equipment,global positioning systems (GPS) equipment, or other navigation devices, tominimize fuel consumption and carbon emissions
• Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy
• Load and unload goods
• Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods andmaterials
• Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storageand other equipment
• Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspectsof vehicle
• Receive and relay information to central dispatch
• Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuelconsumption
• Tarping and ensuring safety and security of cargo
