Job summary

Kibbi Technologies Inc. in Calgary, Alberta, is seeking a full-time truck driver with no prior experience required; on-the-job training will be provided.

Responsibilities include route planning, loading/unloading, and maintaining safety standards while transporting goods locally and internationally. You will operate and drive straight or articulated trucks, inspect vehicle systems, coordinate with dispatch, and ensure cargo is securely tarped.

Qualifications

• Secondary school diploma or equivalent required.
• No prior experience needed; on-the-job training provided.
• Valid Air Brakes Endorsement required.
• Valid Driver's License Class 1 or A required.
• Attention to detail and reliable team player.

Responsibilities

• Plan or adjust routes using GPS to minimize fuel use and emissions.
• Load and unload goods.
• Obtain permits and docs for international routes.
• Operate and drive trucks to transport goods.
• Inspect vehicle condition and tires, lights, brakes, storage.
• Perform emergency roadside repairs.
• Pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections; manage vehicle duties.
• Relay information to central dispatch.
• Record cargo details, hours, distance, and fuel usage.
• Tarp and ensure cargo safety and security.

Work must be completed at the physical location. There is no option to work remotely.

RESPONSIBILITIES

TASKS

• Plan or adjust routes based on changing conditions, using computer equipment, global positioning systems (GPS) equipment, or other navigation devices, to minimize fuel consumption and carbon emissions
• Load and unload goods
• Obtain special permits and other documents required to transport cargo on international routes
• Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials
• Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment
• Perform emergency roadside repairs
• Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle
• Receive and relay information to central dispatch
• Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption
• Tarping and ensuring safety and security of cargo
