Job summary

Charger Logistics Inc. in Brampton is seeking a skilled Truck Technician to diagnose, repair and maintain medium and heavy–duty trucks in our Brampton shop. You will perform inspections, test drives, and repairs following Charger safety procedures.

Ideal candidates have strong problem-solving, attention to detail and time-management skills, with valid G-class license; 310T/310J licenses are assets. We offer competitive pay, healthcare, and opportunities for career growth.

Qualifications

• 310T and/or 310J licenses are assets.
• Valid G-class driver’s license with a clear driving record.
• Knowledge of truck parts and equipment and truck repairs.
• Knowledge of DOT/MTO rules and regulations is an asset.
• Effective problem solver with the ability to understand issues and find solutions.

Responsibilities

• Receive driver and owner/operator reports and diagnose problems using test drives and instruments.
• Perform preventative maintenance inspections and repairs on medium and heavy-duty trucks.
• Repair brakes, electrical systems, steering and suspension, and perform diagnostics.
• Clean, repair, recondition and maintain equipment and components.
• Get equipment back up and running in a cost-efficient manner.

We are currently expanding and looking to add a motivated individual to our Service Department based out of our Brampton Shop.

Responsibilities{{{{:}}}}

• Receive driver and owner/operator reports and conduct initial inspection to diagnose problem using test drives and test instruments, such as pressure gauges, motor analyzers, and other equipment as needed
• Conduct preventative maintenance inspections and repairs, air and hydraulic brake repairs, warranty procedures, steering and suspension, electrical diagnostics, etc. all on medium and heavy duty trucks
• Clean, repair, recondition and maintain equipment and components
• Responsible for getting equipment back up and running in the most efficient and cost-effective manner available
• Perform all tasks according to Charger safety procedures

Requirements

• 310T and/or 310J licenses are an asset
