Job summary

Heeman’s in Ontario seeks a Tropical Plant Storage Coordinator to care for clients' plants overwintering in our storage greenhouse and to assist with production and facility maintenance. You will prune, water, repot, scan barcodes, and help with customer questions.

The role requires English fluency, high school diploma, and Grower Pesticide License within two weeks. This seasonal, outdoors-friendly position offers varied days, with availability for evenings and weekends, and a collaborative team

Qualifications

• Must obtain Grower Pesticide License within two weeks of hire.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Experience in horticulture, agriculture, or greenhouse work.
• Advanced English in writing and speaking.

Responsibilities

• Care for plants overwintered in the greenhouse, including pruning, watering and repotting.
• Understand care requirements for annual and tropical plants.
• Provide customer support for plant-related questions.
• Maintain clean, disinfected greenhouses between crops.
• Liaise with clients about issues and updates on plants in storage.
• Organize storage greenhouse to optimize growth and track locations with barcodes.
• Support production and facilities teams; uphold safety policies.
