Job summary

Horlings Garden Centre in Ontario is looking for customer service staff. You will ensure every customer receives exceptional service and support various sales tasks. Responsibilities include processing transactions, maintaining the department, and assisting customers with needs.

Qualifications include legal eligibility to work in Canada, basic Microsoft Office knowledge, and flexibility to work various shifts. The role requires the ability to lift up to 50lbs and endure outdoor conditions.

Seasonal positions are available.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of greenhouse growing experience is an asset.
• Basic working knowledge of Microsoft Office is required.
• Familiar with environmental greenhouse control systems.
• Ability to lift 50lbs and work in various weather conditions.

Be a customer service staff at this exciting facility that offers landscaping, greenhouse, nursery and flower services. The primary responsibility of this job is ensuring that all customer needs are met and to provide an exceptional experience we strive for!

Accountabilities

• Strive to ensure that each Customer at Horlings Garden Center receives a level of service that is more than what they expected.
• Process sales transactions efficiently and effectively
• Enter orders and send out notifications to guests as and when needed.
• Support with other customer service tasks as required.
• Assist in maintenance of department, including watering and cleaning

Qualifications

• Must be legally eligible to work in Canada.
• 1-3 years of greenhouse growing experience is an asset, but not mandatory
• Plant knowledge experience is an asset.
• Basic working knowledge of Microsoft Office is required.
• Familiar with environmental greenhouse control systems.
• Effective communication and organization skills
• Ability to problem solve and make decisions with an attention to detail.
• Resourceful and works well independently as well as under supervision
• Ability to adapt and prioritize multiple tasks and situations with effective time management skills.
• You are punctual and dependable, and highly value honesty, integrity, and authenticity.
• Flexibility to work a variety of shifts including day, evening, weekends, and holidays as scheduled. Plant cultural responsibility begins at potting and extends through harvest.
• This job requires extended periods of walking and standing, as well as the ability to lift 50lbs and work in various weather conditions and environments.
