docbraces Calgary has an exciting new full-time contract opportunity! We are looking for a talented Treatment Coordinator to join our Calgary, AB team. Canadian Orthodontic Partners provides support services to docbraces Calgary and our national network of community-based clinics, delivering personalized orthodontic treatment. Key Responsibilities:
  1. Welcome new patients warmly and enthusiastically
  2. Take and facilitate necessary radiographs and photos for consultations and observation patients
  3. Review health history with patients and guardians
  4. Record trauma history, pre-medication needs, and relevant info; research medications and note any contraindications
  5. Identify patient and parent concerns and treatment goals
  6. Summarize patient info for the doctor, including age, reason for visit, health history, and chief complaints
  7. Introduce the orthodontist to the family
  8. Assist in examinations and data collection
  9. Record data accurately and efficiently
  10. Take notes on patient-doctor conversations
  11. Generate correspondence for initial and recall appointments
  12. Review treatment plans with patients in the absence of the orthodontist
  13. Show treatment appliances and explain upcoming appointments
  14. Use visual aids (videos, pictures) to illustrate treatment plans
  15. Review financial details and assist with payment options
  16. Complete contracts and informed consent forms
  17. Schedule records and start appointments
  18. Review insurance details and assist with forms
  19. Address final questions and escort patients out
  20. Encourage referrals and promote office marketing
  21. Complete pending and confirmation calls during downtime
  22. Monitor recall programs
  23. Act as a liaison between the doctor and patients or other dental professionals
  24. Complete monthly analytics
  25. Maintain a positive attitude and work cohesively with team members
  26. Perform additional tasks as delegated by the Orthodontist or leadership
Requirements:
  • At least 1 year of front office dental experience (asset)
  • Experience as a Treatment Coordinator (asset)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn new programs
  • Knowledge of dental treatment plans and insurance procedures (preferred)
  • Certified Level 2 Dental Assistant (asset)
  • Clinical background (asset)
  • Understanding of oral treatment plans and patient education skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, to make patients comfortable
