Job summary

First Onsite Restoration is seeking a Commercial Superintendent to lead field staff and coordinate contractors across Saskatchewan on a travelling, 12-month project. You will ensure daily on-site progress, safety compliance and timely reporting, while managing communications with the project team.

The role requires hands-on leadership, the ability to stay organized under pressure, and willingness to travel extensively with rotations in remote communities.

Qualifications

• Experience leading or coordinating small teams in construction/restoration or similar.
• Asset: restoration, mitigation or disaster-response background; compensation aligns with experience.
• Ability to direct field staff and contractors, set expectations and follow up.
• Strong organizational skills: manage documentation, safety paperwork, reporting and timesheets.
• Comfort with smartphones and web-based applications for data handling.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving and conflict-resolution abilities.
• Safety-focused and able to lead by example on active job sites.
• Valid, unrestricted driver's licence and clean driving record.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and wear PPE/respiratory protection.
• Willing to work 6 days a week and rotate in remote communities; extensive travel.

Responsibilities

• Provide direction to field staff, contractors and sub-trades to keep site moving.
• Coordinate daily activities, monitor progress and adapt to changing priorities.
• Ensure safety documentation, reporting and timesheets are completed accurately.
• Collaborate with project team including Operations Supervisor, Project Managers and Safety Advisors.
• Communicate effectively, resolve conflicts professionally, and be hands-on when needed.
