Job summary

Ingersoll Rand is hiring a Field Service Technician in Sudbury, ON. You will install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain a range of air compressors and related components, using precision tools and manuals.

The role requires reading wiring diagrams, performing preventative maintenance, and providing hands‑on support at customer sites. You will travel within the service area, be on call (after an initial 90 days), and receive a comprehensive benefits package along with career development

Qualifications

2+ years of troubleshooting industrial/commercial mechanical systems.
Must possess a valid driver's license for a minimum of 12 months with a clean driving record.
On-call availability required after 90 days, with 24/7 coverage for designated weeks.

Responsibilities

Perform preventative maintenance on IR compressed air equipment and address customer concerns.
Collaborate with Service Coordinator to order and gather parts for installations and repairs; train apprentices and junior technicians.
Communicate effectively with customers and colleagues, verbally and in writing.
Provide pre-commissioning, start-ups, installations and ongoing repairs of compressed air systems, with hands-on work.
Promote IR products and services like Preventative Maintenance, Diagnostics, Audits and Leak Detection to customers.
