Job summary

Perini Management Services Inc. is seeking an experienced Project Engineer to join our Newfoundland Team. You will collaborate with architects and engineers through all construction phases, helping develop budgets, timelines, and procurement plans while reviewing design documents for constructability.

You will support scheduling, change orders, vendor coordination, and on-site safety oversight, ensuring quality and compliance. Travel and relocation near the project site are expected as needed.

Qualifications

• Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management related degree from an accredited institution, or equivalent competency through relevant work experience.
• Work Experience as Construction Project Engineer or Project Manager.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency with Primavera P6, AutoCAD, and Procore.
• Willing to travel and relocate near the project location.
• Experience working on US Federal Construction Projects, preferably with USACE or NAVFAC.

Responsibilities

• Project Planning & Coordination: Collaborate with architects and engineers throughout all phases of construction, including pre-construction/design phases. Assist in developing project budgets, timelines, and procurement plans.
• Construction Management: Assist with developing and maintaining the project schedule, including monthly updates, and progress tracking. Process change orders and manage scope changes.
• Construction Oversight: Support and oversee day-to-day construction activities to ensure alignment with plans and specifications. Monitor safety and coordinate subcontractors and vendors.
• Documentation & Reporting: Document meetings, track actions, manage submittals and RFIs, and support QC inspections.
