Job summary

Perini Management Services, Inc. is a full-service construction firm and a Tutor Perini Company. We seek an experienced Project Manager to join our Newfoundland team.

You will oversee comprehensive project execution and delivery, plan and staff key field positions, and manage prime contracts including procurement, subcontract administration, scheduling, and closeout. The role requires 10+ years of construction experience with at least 5 years as PM, projects over $25 million, and US federal

Qualifications

• 10+ years of combined construction experience with at least 5 years in a PM role.
• Experience leading projects valued at $25+ million.
• Experience on US Federal Construction Projects, preferably with USACE or NAVFAC.
• USACE CQM certification is required.
• Familiarity with EM 385-1-1.
• OSHA 30-hour for Construction required.
• Temporary relocation to Newfoundland is required.
• 4-year engineering degree with PE or EIT preferred.

Responsibilities

• Be responsible for comprehensive project execution and delivery.
• Plan, organize and staff key field positions through department heads.
• Administer all aspects of Prime Contract including procurement, subcontract administration, scheduling, and closeout.
• Establish project objectives, policies, procedures and performance standards within corporate policy.
• Develop and maintain procedures for document control of design, submittals, RFIs, shop drawings and change orders.
• Maintain productive relationships with Client, A/E Contacts, and subcontractors to facilitate construction.
• Supervise on-site Superintendent to ensure schedule and budget adherence; identify and mitigate impacts.
• Manage financial aspects of Prime Contract and Subcontracts (invoicing, payments, changes).
• Protect company financial interests while maintaining good Client relations.

Description:

• Be responsible for comprehensive project execution and delivery.

• Plan, organize and staff key field positions through department heads.

• Administer all aspects of Prime Contract including procurement, subcontract administration, scheduling, and closeout.

• Establish project objectives, policies, procedures and performance standards within boundaries of corporate policy.

• Develop, implement and administer procedures that include document control of design and post design material submittals, RFI’s, shop drawings and change orders.

• Develop and maintain productive and professional relationships with Client and A/E Contacts, and subcontractors to facilitate construction activities.

• Monitor/control construction process through direction of on-site Superintendent to ensure project is built on schedule and within budget; investigate and identify all potential impacts to the project and implement corrective measures.

• Manage financial aspects of Prime Contract and Subcontracts (invoicing, payments, modifications, etc.)

• Protect company’s financial interest and simultaneously maintain good relationship with Client.

• Ensure productivity of subcontractors, efficient use of materials & equipment, and overall schedule of the project.

Requirements:

• 10+ years of combined construction experience as Project Manager, Superintendent, or other relevant project management experience with a minimum of 5 years’ experience as Project Manager.

• Experience leading one or more projects with a value of $25+ Million.

• Experience working on US Federal Construction Projects, preferably with USACE or NAVFAC.

• USACE CQM certification required.

• Familiarity with EM 385-1-1 required.

• OSHA 30-hour for Construction required.

• Temporary relocation to Newfoundland required.
