Job summary

Perini Management Services Inc., a Tutor Perini Company, is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our Newfoundland Team on site. You will lead project execution across design-build and design-bid-build contracts for federal and commercial clients, coordinating with clients, A/E, and subcontractors to maintain schedule and budget.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of combined construction experience as Project Manager, Superintendent, or other relevant project management experience with a minimum of 5 years’ experience as Project Manager.
• Experience leading projects valued at $25+ Million.
• Experience working on US Federal Construction Projects, preferably with USACE or NAVFAC.
• USACE CQM certification required.
• Familiarity with EM 385-1-1 required.
• OSHA 30-hour for Construction required.
• Temporary relocation to Newfoundland required.
• 4-year engineering degree, PE, and/or EIT preferred.

Responsibilities

• Be responsible for comprehensive project execution and delivery.
• Plan, organize and staff key field positions through department heads.
• Administer all aspects of Prime Contract including procurement, subcontract administration, scheduling, and closeout.
• Establish project objectives, policies, procedures and performance standards within boundaries of corporate policy.
• Develop, implement and administer procedures that include document control of design and post design material submittals, RFIs, shop drawings and change orders.
• Develop and maintain productive and professional relationships with Client and A/E Contacts, and subcontractors to facilitate construction activities.
• Monitor/control construction process through direction of on-site Superintendent to ensure project is built on schedule and within budget; investigate and identify all potential impacts to the project and implement corrective measures.
• Manage financial aspects of Prime Contract and Subcontracts (invoicing, payments, modifications, etc.) Protect company’s financial interest and simultaneously maintain good relationship with Client.
• Ensure productivity of subcontractors, efficient use of materials & equipment, and overall schedule of the project.
