Job summary

Northern Health - BC is seeking Registered Psychiatric Nurses and Registered Nurses to travel to rural communities in British Columbia for flexible, permanent or casual opportunities. Travel, accommodations and meal per-diem are provided, with self-scheduling to cover multiple shifts across various sites.

The roles involve collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care, in settings ranging from mental health to long-term care and primary care

Qualifications

• Registered Psychiatric Nurse (RPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) registered with the BC College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
• Experience across mental health, long term care, primary care networks with mental health clients preferred.
• Ability to work in diverse rural community settings and adapt to changing patient needs.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate client care in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.
• Deliver patient-centered care tailored to rural community needs.
• Provide safe, evidence-based nursing interventions across various clinical settings.
• Utilize self-scheduling to cover days, evenings, and nights across multiple rural sites.
