Qualifications

• Must be eligible for membership in the BC Ministry of Education Teacher Regulation Branch.
• Valid BC Teaching Certificate or proof of application.
• Copy of TRB letter outlining requirements for permanent certification if conditional.
• Knowledge of redesigned BC curriculum and core competencies.
• Evidence of appropriate qualifications and experience in teaching.
• Experience with assessment for learning strategies.
• Experience integrating Indigenous culture and Truth and Reconciliation into curriculum.
• Ability to use varied teaching strategies for inclusive settings.
• Experience with experiential and inquiry-based learning.
• Experience teaching and supporting social and emotional learning.
• Ability to build positive learning environments and strong classroom management.
• Commitment to team collaboration and using technology in curriculum.
• Ability to establish positive relationships with students, staff, parents, and community.
• Driver's license and willingness to travel as required.
