Job summary

Chandos Construction, based in Calgary, seeks a Project Manager to lead complex transportation infrastructure projects across Western Canada, working closely with field operations, clients, consultants and preconstruction teams. The role emphasizes field involvement, risk management, and proactive execution from mobilization to closeout.

You will manage budgets, schedules, forecasts, procurement, and contract administration while traveling up to 40–50% as required to ensure safe, profitable

Qualifications

  • 4+ years of Project Management experience with a General Contractor
  • Experience delivering bridges, LRT infrastructure, transit stations/hubs, or other complex transportation structures
  • Proven experience managing project forecasts, budgets, cost control, schedules, risk, and change management
  • Strong understanding of how construction sequencing impacts project cost, productivity, and risk
  • Experience working directly with clients, consultants, field operations, and subcontractors
  • Willing and able to travel up to 40-50% as required

Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning and execution of transportation infrastructure projects from mobilization through closeout
  • Partner closely with field leadership, preconstruction teams, subcontractors, consultants, and clients
  • Manage project budgets, schedules, forecasting, procurement, and contract administration
  • Develop and maintain accurate cost reports, cash flow projections, and project forecasts
  • Monitor project performance and proactively identify cost, schedule, and execution risks
  • Support change management, claims, and client communications
  • Ensure projects are delivered safely, profitably, and in accordance with Chandos quality standards
  • Collaborate with superintendents and project teams to optimize construction sequencing and project execution
