Job summary

City of Regina is seeking a Transportation Engineer to lead planning and design of the City's transportation system within the Integrated Engineering Services Branch. The role reports to a Senior Engineer and involves policy development and project leadership.

The position requires a Civil or Systems Engineering degree and registration or eligibility as a Professional Engineer in Saskatchewan, with experience in urban transportation planning and traffic engineering.

Qualifications

• University degree in Civil or Systems Engineering with 4+ years in urban transportation planning/traffic engineering.
• Ability to manage projects, present to management and council, and lead teams.

Responsibilities

• Prepare conceptual and functional designs for transportation infrastructure projects.
• Provide engineering analysis for planning, development and design of transportation projects.
• Review proposals and review engineering services proposals.
• Manage and review work of consultants and contractors.
• Prepare technical and business reports for presentations and public responses.
• Represent the Department in meetings with Council, and other departments.
