English is required in this specific position because Kruger is doing business with third parties around North America and the successful candidate will have to communicate frequently with those third parties. Kruger has taken all reasonable means to avoid imposing a requirement of knowledge of English, notably, by assessing the actual language needs associated with the duties to be performed, by making sure that the language knowledge already required from other staff members was insufficient for the performance of those duties and by restricting as much as possible the number of positions involving duties whose performance requires knowledge of English.
