Job summary

KMJV is seeking an Assistant Commercial Manager to support the commercial management of a major rail/transit infrastructure project in the Niagara/Hamilton region. You will work with leadership, subcontractors, and consultants to ensure cost control and contract compliance.

Responsibilities include managing prime contracts, pricing changes, budgets, and financial reporting, with a focus on risk management and timely delivery.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a related field.
• Strong commercial awareness and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Assist in administration of prime contracts and subcontract agreements.
• Support change management, pricing, and change orders.
• Monitor costs, budgets, and forecasts to align with objectives.
• Prepare cost reports, cash flow forecasts, and monthly reviews.
• Support CVR and variance analysis.
• Review subcontractor payment applications and invoices.
• Assist with procurement and onboarding of subcontractors.
• Identify and track commercial risks and opportunities.
