Job summary

Kenaidan Murphy Joint Venture (KMJV) is hiring a Technical Coordinator in the Niagara/Hamilton region to support a major transit infrastructure project in Ontario. The role coordinates technical and design activities among the project team, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and client representatives.

The successful candidate will review drawings, specifications, shop drawings, and design submissions, manage RFIs, and maintain technical logs while coordinating with multidisciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Architectural Technology, Construction Engineering, or related discipline.
• 3–5+ years of experience in technical/design/construction coordination.
• Experience on major infrastructure, civil, rail or transit projects is a plus.
• Strong ability to read and interpret drawings and technical documents.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate technical and design activities between project team, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and client representatives.
• Review drawings, specs, shop drawings, design submissions, and technical reports for completeness and compliance.
• Prepare and coordinate RFIs, technical queries, design clarifications, and related correspondence.
• Maintain technical logs, submittals, shop drawings, and action items.
• Coordinate review/approval of shop drawings, samples, and technical submissions.
• Identify design conflicts and coordinate resolution with stakeholders.
• Support multidisciplinary design coordination across civil, structural, architectural, mechanical, electrical, and rail scopes.
• Attend design coordination meetings and prepare minutes and action lists.
• Monitor deliverables and submission schedules to ensure timely reviews.
