Job summary

Waste Connections of Canada, Inc. is seeking a Transfer Station Spotter to support operations at multiple locations. You will safely guide traffic, assist visitors and help maintain a clean, safe environment while on site.

Candidates should have at least 1 year of general labour outdoors, the ability to lift up to 40 pounds, a valid G-Class license, a reliable vehicle, and the stamina to work in all weather conditions. Pre-employment drug and criminal checks apply.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of general labour work experience outdoors.
• The ability to lift up to 40 pounds repetitively.
• Valid G-Class Driver’s License.
• Access to a reliable vehicle.
• Ability to work in all weather conditions throughout entire shift.
• Ability to pass our pre-employment checks (Drug and Criminal check).

Responsibilities

• Safely guiding traffic onsite at various transfer station locations as assigned.
• Traveling by personal vehicle between Transfer Stations with or without notice.
• Offering directions to citizens visiting the Transfer Station.
• Maintaining a clean and safe environment for employees and customers.
• Some sorting of materials.
