Job summary

Magna Cosma International in Mississauga is seeking a skilled Press Transfer Operator to assist in setting up equipment, operate transfer dies, and perform quality inspections in line with the Control Plan. You will document results, support safety practices, and adhere to company policies within a team-focused manufacturing environment.

Two years' experience with transfer dies is preferred, along with strong verbal communication and the ability to follow detailed instructions and work

Qualifications

  • Grade 12 Education or GED required.
  • Minimum two years of experience running transfer dies.
  • Strong verbal communication skills and ability to follow instructions.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in setting up equipment and machinery as required.
  • Responsible for the operation of presses.
  • Perform and document Quality Assurance first-off, hourly, and last-off inspections on all parts as per the Control Plan and advise Team Leader and/or Supervisor of non-conforming conditions.
  • Document results and correction actions as required.
  • Rotate and operate all Transfer Press equipment as assigned.
  • Complete Production Traceability Reports as per station control.
  • Responsible for producing quality parts that are in compliance with standard rates while adhering to customer requirements.
  • Perform all duties in a safe manner in accordance with Section 28 of the Occupational Health & Safety Act and Regulations for Industrial Establishments—Duties of Workers.
  • Follow Magna’s Code of Conduct and Ethics and related compliance policies.
  • Maintain safety standards of equipment and work area and perform all duties in a safe manner.
  • Follow and abide by all company policies, procedures, and employee handbook.
  • Perform all other reasonable duties as required.
