Magna Powertrain is seeking an operator in Markham for night shift in a press environment. You will operate scheduled production equipment, perform setup/changeovers, and ensure quality documentation is completed on time. Job Responsibilities:
Compensation: $25 per hour
Hiring Shift: Night
PRIMARY FUNCTION
Ensures that material, tools and packaging are in place and ready for production
Operate scheduled production equipment on a daily basis
Operate production equipment and ensure that production targets are met
Perform inspection of product produced by following internal and external established requirements a (using standard and advanced measuring equipment)
Complete quality documentation as per internal and external requirements
Perform TPM inspection and communicate open issues thru internal documentation
Participate in continuous improvement
Participate in the team environment and communicate issues with production support
Train new operators on equipment
Responsible for area housekeeping and upkeep of presses, process centers, confined spaces etc.
Operates equipment according to training matrix
Ensure that crane inspection checklist is being completed before usage and applicable certificates are current
Complete changeovers as per of the team and setup bolsters with the next scheduled dies
Perform minor adjustments without assistance
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Grade 12 education
Strong command of the English language (verbal and written) process -, tooling improvements
Sound knowledge of statistical techniques to identify process improvements opportunities
Ability to use basic and advanced measuring equipment
Good documentation and organizational skills
Strong command of the English language (verbal and written)
Working knowledge of TS 16949, ISO 14001 systems and WHIMS
Valid Forklift and Crane Operator license
Confined space - / Lock-out / Tag-out and WHIMIS training
SPC Level 1
Advanced knowledge of presses including vibra machines and part washers
Minimum of 1 year experience in a press environment

Advises workers of the existence of any potential or actual danger to the health or safety of the worker of which you are aware of
Takes every precaution reasonable in the circumstances for the protection.
GENERAL
Comply with legislative requirements including but not limited to Section 28 of the Occupational Health & Safety Act
Use or wear equipment, protective devices or clothing that Pullmatic Mfg. requires to be used or worn
Report hazards to your supervisor/manager that you are aware of
Will not operate anything or work in a manner that may cause danger
Ensure TS16949 & ISO 14001 and ISO45001 compliance
Awareness of all relevant Customer Requirements pertaining to your job function
Treat your fellow workers as you would like to be treated
Follow guidelines, systems & rules as set out by your employee handbook & company policies
