Job summary

Magna International’s Massiv Die-Form division in Brampton designs and builds medium to large automotive dies. The role requires CATIA/NX proficiency, CAM/CNC know-how, blueprints interpretation, and the ability to drive design reviews and cost-saving improvements across engineering and manufacturing teams.

You will maintain die program documentation, support quote stages, and ensure designs release for manufacturing, while upholding quality management and safety training standards.

Qualifications

  • Completion of degree or certificate program in Technical/Mechanical Engineering
  • Knowledge of automotive sheet metal stamping
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint
  • Knowledge of CAM, CNC machining and die making methods
  • Experience in reverse engineering from scanned mesh (STL data)
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to interpret blueprints or die process & solid designs
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Orientation, WHMIS, Fire Extinguisher Training, Smirtware, Tebis, 5S, QMS, ISO 9001 & ISO 14001 Awareness training

Responsibilities

  • Maintain documentation record of complete die program.
  • Drive internal and customer design reviews.
  • Support and prepare packaging studies for quote stage.
  • Release all designs for manufacturing.
  • Support engineering and manufacturing related to engineering changes.
  • Determine machining processes and report areas of dies to be machined.
