Job description

Location: Powell River/qathet Regional District

Schedule: Friday, Saturday, Monday, and Tuesday

Salary or Wage: $20.00 to $22.00 per hour

Start Date: As soon as possible

Job Type: Part-time or Full-time

List of Requirements
  • Completion of grade 12 education is recommended.
  • Ability to successfully complete training in First Aid Level 1 with CPR, Operator Safety Training for all on-site equipment, and WHMIS certification. This training will be provided by the employer.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Availability to work on Monday, Tuesday, Friday, and Saturday.
List of Duties
  • Performing basic manual labour tasks.
  • Guiding customers on proper recycling techniques.
  • Assisting clients as needed.
  • Driving a forklift (training provided).
  • Maintaining cleanliness of the workspace.
  • Welcoming new team members at the Resource Recovery Centre.
