Job description

A career in our Financial Due Diligence practice, within Deals Transaction Services, offers you the opportunity to assist organizations in realizing the potential of mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and capital markets. We help leading companies originate, create, execute, and realize value from deals. Through data-driven insights, we ensure our clients make informed decisions to maximize value.

Our team supports both buy-side and sell-side due diligence, providing corporate and financial buyers with confidence by analyzing and validating financial, commercial, operational, and strategic assumptions. We specialize in the Financial Services sector, conducting due diligence and M&A activities across Insurance, Banking & Capital Markets, Asset & Wealth Management, and Fintech subsectors. As part of our team, you'll guide clients through various stages of the M&A process.

Meaningful work you'll be part of

As a Senior Manager, you'll work with problem-solving teams to address business issues, deliver high-quality client service, and improve operational efficiency. Your responsibilities include:

  1. Leadership and project management: Managing the entire deal process and fostering collaboration across service lines and network firms.
  2. Transaction services advisory skills: Demonstrating deep understanding of the Financial Services sector, transaction processes, key deal issues, and strategic implications. Ensuring the quality of deliverables, managing project risks, and discussing deal implications with clients.
  3. Building relationships: Developing trusted relationships with clients and within the firm, and proactively expanding your professional network to generate new business opportunities.
  4. Developing people: Coaching junior staff, supporting performance reviews, and aiding career development.
  5. Budgeting and efficiency: Adapting to new software tools, managing project budgets, monitoring costs, and ensuring efficient work delivery.
Experiences and skills you'll use to solve
  • Chartered Accountant Designation (CPA or equivalent).
  • Senior Manager-level professional experience with solid Financial Due Diligence background, preferably in Financial Services.
  • Strong financial and business performance analysis skills.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and report writing skills.
  • Proven leadership in team management and engagement.
  • Ability to build and maintain professional relationships internally and externally.
  • Data analytics experience with tools like Alteryx, Power BI, or Tableau (desirable).
  • This role does not support Canadian CPA designation completion.
  • Fluency in French is required for Quebec-based opportunities; is an asset outside Quebec.
PwC BC Region Pay Range

The salary range is $103,000 - $171,800, plus potential annual bonuses. Actual compensation depends on skills, experience, qualifications, and location. This range reflects our British Columbia region; other regions may vary.
