SGSinpartnershipwithH2SafetyislookingforaTrainingSpecialist(EmergencyResponse).H2SafetyisseekingadynamicTrainingSpecialisttodevelop,deliver,andevaluateemergencyresponsetrainingprogramstailoredtoclientneeds.Thisroleincludescreatingengagingtrainingmaterials,conductingsessionsanddrills,ensuringregulatorycompliance,maintainingdetailedrecords,andprovidingexpertconsultation.Thespecialistwillalsosupportbusinessdevelopmenteffortstoenhanceclientpreparednessanddrivecompanyobjectives.

Responsibilities

ProgramDevelopment

  • Designanddevelopcomprehensiveemergencyresponsetrainingprogramstailoredtovariousclientneedsandindustries.
  • Createtrainingmaterials,includingmanuals,presentations,andhands-onexercises,ensuringtheyareuptodatewithcurrentbestpracticesandregulatoryrequirements.

TrainingDelivery

  • Conductengagingandeffectivetrainingsessionsforclients,utilizingavarietyofinstructionaltechniquesandformats.
  • Facilitatebothin- personandvirtualtrainingsessions,adaptingcontentanddeliverymethodstosuitdifferent learningenvironments.
  • Planandconductemergencyresponsedrillsandsimulationstotestandreinforceclient preparedness.
  • Evaluatetheoutcomesofdrillsandprovidedetailedreportswithrecommendationsfor improvement.
  • Traveltoremotelocationsasrequiredforin-persontrainingsessions.

EvaluationandImprovement

  • Assesstheeffectivenessoftrainingprogramsthroughfeedback,evaluations,andperformancemetrics.
  • Continuouslyimprovetrainingprogramsbasedonclientfeedback,industrytrends,andregulatory changes.

Compliance,Certification,andDocumentation

  • Ensurealltrainingprogramscomplywithrelevantlaws,regulations,andindustrystandards.
  • Assistclientsinachievingandmaintainingnecessarycertificationsandcompliancerelatedtoemergencyresponse.
  • Maintaindetailedrecordsoftrainingactivities,participantprogress,andprogramoutcomes.
  • Prepareandpresentreportsontrainingeffectivenessandareasforimprovementtoclientsandcompanymanagement.

CollaborationandBusinessDevelopment

  • CollaboratewithotherH2Safetyoperationalmanagerstoaligntrainingwithcustomerrequirementsandcommunicationstrategies.
  • Supportmarketingeffortsbyshowcasingthecompany’strainingcapabilitiesandsuccesses.
  • Assistinthedevelopmentofproposalsandpresentationsforpotentialclientstosecurenew business.
  • Stayupdatedwiththelatesttrends,technologies,andbestpracticesinemergencyresponseand trainingmethodologies.
  • Participateinprofessionaldevelopmentopportunitiesandindustryconferencestoenhance expertise.
Qualifications
  • AdvancedtrainingandexperienceinEmergencyManagement,OccupationalHealthandSafety,orarelatedfield.
  • RelevantcertificationssuchasCertifiedEmergencyManager(CEM),CertifiedSafetyProfessional(CSP),orequivalent.
  • Aminimumof5yearsofexperienceinemergencyresponse,safetytraining,orarelatedfield.
  • Aproventrackrecordindevelopinganddeliveringtrainingprogramsfordiverseaudiences.
  • Validcertificationsinemergencyresponseorsafetytrainingisanasset.
  • FirstAid/CPRcertificationispreferred.
  • AvalidClass5driver’slicensewithatleastthreeyearsofreportabledrivinghistoryinCanada.
  • Acleanorminimaldemeritpointdriver’sabstractwithnosignificanttrafficviolations.
  • Musthavetheabilitytotraveltoclientsitesasrequired.
  • FamiliaritywiththeIncidentCommandSystem(ICS)isarequirement.
  • In-depthknowledgeofemergencyresponseprocedures,protocols,andbestpractices.
  • Thoroughunderstandingofrelevantregulations,standards,andcompliancerequirements(e.g.,BCER,AER,OSHA,NFPA).
  • Familiaritywithvarioustrainingmethodologiesandadultlearningprinciples.
  • Stronganalyticalandproblem-solvingskillstoassesstrainingneedsandevaluateprogrameffectiveness.
  • Highlevelofadaptabilityandflexibilitytoadjusttrainingapproachesbasedondifferentclientrequirementsandfeedback.
  • Abilitytoworkindependentlyandaspartofateam,showinginitiativeandleadershipinprojectexecution.
  • Strongabilitytolearnandteachsoftwaretoolsandapplications,includingtheH2SafetyCommandCentreSoftwaresuite,whichwillbeutilizedincertaintrainingsessions.
  • Highdegreeofself-disciplineandstrongscheduling/organizationalskills.
  • AbilitytotravelasthispositionrequiresextensivetravellingmainlythroughoutAlberta.

PreferredSkills

  • CompletionofIncidentCommandSystem(ICS)Level100,200,or300.
  • CertifiedtoinstructIncidentCommandSystem(ICS)Level100or200.
  • CompletionofanAdultEducationcertificationand/orknowledgeofadultlearningprinciples.
  • Experiencedevelopingnewtrainingcontentand/orworkinginaLearningManagementSystem (LMS).
  • Emergencyresponseexperience,understandingofemergencyresponseplans(ERPs),and/orknowledgeofemergencyresponserelatedlegislation,regulations,andcompliance.
