Job Description: Training & Safety Coordinator at Caron Transportation Systems

Caron Transportation Systems, recognized for safety and environmental responsibility, is seeking a Training & Safety Coordinator at our Head Office in Sherwood Park. This full-time role (Monday to Friday, 8:00AM to 4:30PM) reports to the Safety Manager and involves duties related to employee training and safety.

Ideal Candidate:

• 2-5 years of related experience
• Degree, diploma, or safety certification, preferably in transportation
• Excellent communication skills
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Proficient in MS Office

Responsibilities:

1. Lead and conduct training sessions using appropriate technology and visual aids.
2. Ensure new hires complete orientation and documentation accurately.
3. Design and evaluate training programs in collaboration with business units.
4. Create and update technical documentation and manuals.
5. Coordinate promotion and distribution of training information.
6. Support the safety team and external providers as the first point of contact.
7. Collaborate with Samsara platform support and understand related systems.
8. Identify and implement improvements to the safety management system.
9. Ensure availability of safety materials and compliance documentation on-site.
10. Participate in site audits and hazard assessments.
11. Prepare reports and analysis for the Safety Manager.
12. Assist with contractor/vendor evaluations and documentation.
13. Coach leadership to meet safety expectations.
14. Perform tasks in line with QMS and industry standards.
