Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Senior Coordinator – Municipal & Contractor Relations (Safety Code Experience Required) to serve as a vital liaison between municipalities, contractors, and the community. This individual will help oversee the coordination of municipal projects—particularly in the construction and infrastructure sectors—with a strong understanding of electrical design standards and regulatory codes. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled communicator and problem solver who is ready to take ownership of public-private partnerships and project relationships.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as the primary point of contact between municipalities, the public, and internal teams
  • Facilitate clear communication and relationship management between stakeholders involved in infrastructure and construction projects
  • Oversee contracts and ensure compliance with relevant design codes, especially related to electrical systems
  • Coordinate with municipal representatives to obtain necessary project approvals and documentation
  • Monitor contract progress and resolve conflicts or delays with a solutions-focused approach
  • Support and mentor junior team members with the potential to grow into leadership roles
  • Prepare reports, summaries, and updates on project status for all relevant parties
  • Maintain a deep understanding of local regulations, construction standards, and safety codes
Qualifications
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in construction, engineering consulting, or a related municipal-facing role
  • Strong knowledge of design codes, particularly in electrical design and infrastructure
  • Proven experience liaising with government or municipal stakeholders
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents, construction drawings, and contracts
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to manage multiple relationships and timelines
  • Previous experience in a construction agency or design consulting environment
  • Leadership qualities with an interest in mentoring and grooming future team members
