The ERP Program at Nova Scotia Power is seeking a Training Lead to oversee the development and execution of end-user training for a large-scale enterprise system transformation. Reporting to the Change Manager, the Training Lead will manage a small training team, including Training Specialists, and collaborate closely with business units, subject matter experts, and program leadership.

This role is ideal for a strategic training professional with experience leading training initiatives in complex project environments, particularly ERP or enterprise-wide system implementations.

Key Elements Of This Role Include

  • Developing the ERP training strategy, ensuring alignment with overall change management and business readiness plans.
  • Leading the design of scalable training approaches across diverse business areas and user groups.
  • Defining training success metrics and reporting processes to assess adoption and effectiveness.
  • Building and managing a small training team, including coaching and supporting the Training Specialists.
  • Engaging functional leads to ensure training content and delivery methods align with operational needs.
  • Partnering with third party vendors to develop the training governance structure (e.g., standards, templates, version control protocols).
  • Identifying and mitigating training-related risks, issues, and interdependencies.
  • Leading training readiness reviews and reporting on progress to the Change Manager.

These Skills Will Make You Successful

  • Degree or diploma in Education, Instructional Design, Business, or a related field
  • 7+ years of experience designing and delivering training within large programs or transformation initiatives
  • Experience leading training workstreams within ERP or enterprise technology implementations
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams and manage stakeholders across all levels of an organization
  • Strong communication, training, and coaching skills
  • Proven project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and tight deadlines
  • Proficiency with training development tools and platforms (e.g., MS Office, eLearning authoring tools, LMS platforms)
  • Knowledge of utilities, SAP, or large-scale transformation projects considered an asset
