Job summary

Johnson Electric in Ancaster, ON, is seeking a Training & Development Co-op Student to support employee training and develop Standard Work Instructions. You will work onsite with operators, supervisors, engineers, and SMEs to document best practices and ensure safety and quality alignment.

You will gain hands-on experience in process documentation and continuous improvement within a global manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a post-secondary co-op program.
• Experience in manufacturing or quality environment is an asset.
• Strong verbal and written communication in English.
• Ability to document processes on shop floor and office settings.

Responsibilities

• Develop, revise, and maintain SWIs for manufacturing and training.
• Partner with operators, supervisors, engineers, SMEs to document work.
• Observe tasks to capture step-by-step work instructions.
• Ensure docs align with safety, quality, and compliance.
• Create and update training materials; track completion in ETQ.
• Support continuous improvement on training effectiveness and docs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
