Job summary

AtkinsRéalis in Canada seeks a Training Analyst to design, digitize and refresh role-based training materials. You will partner with management and SMEs to align content with business needs and training frameworks, ensuring safety and regulatory compliance across programs.

Your day-to-day includes maintaining records, tracking effectiveness, and coordinating with vendors and the LMS to support schedules and audits while driving continuous improvement in learning solutions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or diploma in HR, education, training or a related field.
  • 2–5 years of experience in training development, analyst or technical writing.
  • Strong writing, documentation and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Experience with HR/training systems is an asset.

Overview

Reporting to the Technical Training and Development Manager, the Training Analyst plays a key role in supporting the continued growth of the organization through the development of high-quality, role-based training programs. As the Training Department develops its role-based training model, this position will help ensure employees are equipped with the knowledge, skills, and resources required to perform their roles safely, effectively, and with confidence.

The Training Analyst is responsible for the design and development of training programs and learning content that align with business priorities and workforce development needs under the direction of the Technical Training and Development Manager. This includes supporting the creation of departmental processes, procedures and programs and course materials ensuring compliance with the systematic approach to training framework. Working closely with the training team, functional leaders, instructors, and technical subject matter experts, this role supports workforce capability development by supporting the creation of effective role-based learning solutions that meet organizational, regulatory and project requirements. This role requires strong programmatic technical writing skills to author innovative and effective training solutions.

Your role
  • Collaborate with functional management to assess employee training needs to develop, design, digitize and refresh training material and content in support of role-based training requirements.
  • Ensure training programs comply with the Systematic Approach to Training framework and applicable industry standards and applied consistently across course development.
  • Verify traceability between job requirements, learning objectives, assessments and qualifications.
  • Ability to construct the overall flow and vision of course offerings ensuring that the content matches the course needs-assessment requirements.
  • Maintain training records and evidence to support audits, regulatory reviews and client requirements.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and make necessary adjustments as required.
  • Develop and manage relationships with external training vendors as required.
  • Assist in preparing training schedules and coordinating multiple assignments requiring use of learning management system, including reporting.
  • Maintain a process of continuous improvement, feedback and action to spot areas of opportunity, including the automation of repetitive tasks where possible.
  • Other duties or tasks as required to support the Training and Onboarding team.

Work Locations:

  • Primary work location will be in Mississauga, ON office.
  • Occasional travel to other project sites may be required.
About you
  • Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Human Resources, Education, Training or related field.
  • 2-5 years of relevant experience in a similar training development, analyst or technical writing role.
  • Experience in an office environment.
  • Experience with Candu operations and engineering terminology is preferred.
  • Knowledge of office processes, procedures, equipment, and filing systems.
  • Understanding of Adult Learning Principles and the Systematic Approach to Training Process.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work collaboratively.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook). Experience with Workday, or other HR and training/learning management systems are considered an asset.
  • Strong communication skills including technical writing skills.
  • Ability to adapt to last-minute changes and handle unexpected situations effectively.
  • Strong presentation and facilitation skills, with the ability to remain positive and calm in a hectic environment.
  • Excellent internal customer relationship skills.
  • Reliable self-starter who can identify what needs to be done and take initiative who can work independently with limited direction.
  • Strong planning and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Strong sense of urgency, responsibility and accountability.
  • Extremely detail-oriented.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written.
