As a Trainee Apprentice Automotive Technician, you’re an important member of the Auto Service Team that diagnoses, repairs and provides service to Members’ vehicles ensuring their safety and performance meet the high standards BCAA delivers to our Members.

Within your first 6 months to a year of employment, we will evaluate your enrollment into an apprenticeship program, based on your skills, commitment, and growth within the business.   6. Flexible hours and weekend work are no problem for you.

What you bring:

  1. High school diploma and completion of an Automotive Foundation program is preferred.
  2. Minimum of six months of technical training and experience within an automotive repair facility.
  3. Ability to lift 70 lbs (32 kg), bend, reach, walk and stand for long periods of time.
  4. Proficient with MS Outlook.
  5. Clean BC Driver License Class 7 or better.

Once Here, you will:

  1. Complete all repairs to meet BCAA’s high standards for safety, performance and outstanding service to our Members. Specifically, the Lube Technician will be responsible for oil and tire changes and basic automotive repairs.
  2. Maintain a clean and safe work environment that complies with environmental standards, operational policies and procedures while ensuring equipment is in good working condition for your entire BCAA team.
  3. Assist other Technicians in the shop as needed.
  4. Achieve productivity goals while maintaining a high level of Member satisfaction.

Internal Applicants: Please note that the internal posting closes on January 24, 2025 and the role is a Grade 4 position.

The salary range for this position is $37,552.80 to $46,903.44 and is determined via job-related knowledge, skills, experience, certifications, market demand and internal equity. In addition to base salary and BCAA benefits, this position is eligible for a performance bonus target of 9%, with the opportunity to earn up to 15%.
