Alstom in Canada is seeking a cost analyst with a background in mechanical engineering to optimize costs across train projects. You will coordinate Design to Cost studies, validate cost baselines, and drive cost-saving opportunities with engineering, procurement and project management teams.
The role emphasizes governance, stakeholder alignment and delivering validated results, while applying Design to Cost tools to meet objectives and support sustainable mobility initiatives.

You’ll play a pivotal role in driving cost efficiency and ensuring alignment between technical product definitions and financial objectives. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (engineering, procurement, project management), coordinate Design to Cost studies, and lead brainstorming sessions to identify cost-saving opportunities, and much more.
You’ll specifically take care of calculating and validating cost baselines, as well as establishing governance structures for cost monitoring, but also ensuring stakeholder alignment and driving transformation of cost-saving opportunities into validated results.
